Point blank... bought 4 tires for a mustang from MR TIRE. I never drive it in the winter. I've had the car for 17 years. I have never had issues with tires like this. Last fall the passenger tire goes flat. Valve stem was the problem. I Put it up for the winter after getting the stem repaired. Spring time with my family in the car I lose my rear tire on the highway. I Pulled over on highway to change the tire and the valve stem was rotted and bad. The tire was ruined completely. I then checked the other valve stems and they were dry rotted and ready to leak. I'm lucky I didn't kill my family on the highway. I then Called Mr Tire and was quoted 50 to 75 dollars for all stem replacements and 2 tires under warranty. Drop the tires off for stems and get two new tires. I later receive a phone call saying that I owed almost $500 dollars. I'm sure you can understand my surprise. I could understand 1 stem blowing out but 2 I need to question. To have all 4 stems be in horrible condition tells me that no stems were changed or looked at when I bought the tires. The tires were still covered on warranty and I was given a hard time by the man who waited on me. He then finally dwindled the price from close to $500 down to $130 which is far better than $500 and is still a bit farther than my original quote. I'm extremely pissed that I'm putting more money into tires that were still very good all because someone didn't replace or even look at the condition of my valve stems. Now the part I'm really upset about is this could have killed my family and hurt others. I have had a lot of work done through MR Tire and it's also not unusual to pick up my car drive it home pop the hood later to find the mechanics tools laying in the engine bay. This has happened more than once. I have automotive tech college certifications and have worked on helicopters for a living so I'm very familiar with with the industry. I will never be a customer of MR Tire as long as I live. I will also go out of my way to steer anyone I know to avoid your business. It's sloppy reckless and dangerous to run a business in this manner. Hopefully you could use my experience to make changes so that in the future a customer like me can avoid these concerning issue with Mr Tire.....
