I called Mr. Tire this morning around 8:15am in order to schedule an appointment to have a slow leak in my tire repaired. The gentleman that answers the phone tells me that he?ll take a walk-in if I could get it to the shop soon. I live about 10-15 minutes away, so I leave out immediately in order to leave my car to have my tire repaired. Upon arrival 15 mins later, I reiterated to the person at the counter that I needed a slow leaking tired repaired, only to be told that they?re not accepting walk-ins. So. I pleaded my case saying that I spoke to someone 15 mins ago saying that they would accept my car as a walk in appointment. The manager behind the counter said that he didn?t receive any such calls. As I walking out, I called the number I dialed earlier because at this point I?m thinking maybe I called the wrong shop. So, I called the number again, and sure enough the manager at the counter answers the phone. After he realized that he was caught in a lie, he immediately changed his tone, offering to honor to do the work he and I had spoke upon prior. I refused and took my business else where. Not sure who this gentleman was as I did not get his name, but it wasn?t Jim-Bo whom I usually deal with. Moral of the story, if it?s not Jim-Bo don?t trust that you?re service will be honored. This is truly a shame because I just had $730 worth of work done to my wife?s car at this shop in which I was throughly pleased only for something like this to happen to ruin that experience.....
