On April 7th 2026, I experienced a flat tire less than half a mile from this location. Because one of my lug nuts was stripped, I was unable to remove the wheel myself. I called the store first thing in the morning to schedule an appointment specifically to have my spare tire installed in place of the flat tire. I then had my vehicle towed directly to the shop. Upon arrival, I identified myself and explained that I had an appointment for a simple tire change. Before even looking at the vehicle, General Manager Dan Skedel immediately stated, ?I will have to do a complete brake inspection on this vehicle before I even look at the tire.? I made it clear that I was not there for brake work and only needed the spare tire installed. He repeated that he would not touch the vehicle without performing a brake inspection first. Despite my objection, I was charged $168 for a brake inspection I did not request, and an additional $168 simply to change the tire, resulting in a total bill of $399.14 (Invoice #197807). This is an outrageous amount to charge for a basic tire change, especially under circumstances where I had no choice but to seek assistance. What makes this situation even more concerning is that Mr. Tire advertises free brake inspections on its own website. When I pointed this out, Mr. Skedel dismissed it by claiming that what they performed was a ?complete diagnosis,? which is nothing more than semantics used to justify an unnecessary and inflated charge. To add insult to injury, my lug bolts to my wheel were discarded and I had to purchase new ones to restore my original wheel. Horrible experience!!!....
