I went in for an oil change and a brake line flush the next day I noticed squealing in my wheel. Well tension on my brakes like my EI went in for an oil change and a brake line flush the next day I noticed squealing in my wheel. Well tension on my brakes like my E brake was engaged, but it wasn?t when I would come to a red light and stop. The car wouldn?t roll then I would hit the accelerator then I would hear a pop in my rear tire and then the car would drive fine for a few seconds, and then the drag would continue. I pulled into my driveway engaged the E break and noticed a chemical/burning smell so I called them back. I brought it in the next day and they proceeded to tell me they?re not fixing anything and that it?s my E brake clip is seized up. I need new drum brakes and new brake lines.. It?s ironic how the next day all these issues pop up after a simple oil, change tire rotation and brake flush that my car was driving like crap. They said they would not do anything and he would quote me on prices. I said hold that thought I?m going to The Mechanic where I bought the car from which was only a few months ago. I told them what Mr. Tire told me and they told me to tell corporate. The team leader at Mr tire was talking out of the side of his head saying I needed those repairs when I needed none of them. The brakes were done a few months ago before I bought the car. The E brake works just fine because I live on a hill and I use it every day so basically the guy said it was all my fault, but they would help me out by quoting me on drum brakes and whatever that E brake clip is. All they needed to do was possibly pull the clip out clean it up put it back in but the E brake work just fine so I don?t know what they were talking about. I was recommended to go to Mr. Ty via a family member and now they are well aware of what happened corporate is aware what happened and we will never take our cars to any thing owned by Mr. Tire/Monroe ever again. Sorry to The Mechanic that worked on it. I understand mistakes happen, but there was no accountability at this place meaning they can mess up your multi thousand dollar machine and then leave you a bill with them to fix it. That?s crazy to me. Shame on them.....
