Mr Tire Auto Service Centers, 4952 Mercantile Road

We have used Mr. Tire for most of our auto services for several years now. We typically have used the location on Belair Road in Nottingham. However, since the manager changed the service has gone way downhill. We decided to try the location in White Marsh. I was told over the phone I could drop off as early as 7 am, but when I arrived at 8:55 am they were closed. I didn't realize this at first so I tried two different doors, one of which was unlocked. An employee was sitting in their car in the parking lot, I suppose waiting to open up. They jumped out of their car and told me I couldn't go in because they weren't open. He was rather distressed to realize the employee door was unlocked even though no one was inside. I assume someone must have left it unlocked over night. I put my keys in the drop box right in front of the employee because I had to get going. I also verbally told him I was putting them in. This was on a Sunday morning, July 19. I was going out of town so I wasn't in a big hurry for my vehicle. However, I was surprised to not hear back that day since I was just getting an oil change and having them do a safety check since I was going to be driving the vehicle from MD to KS the following week. When I didn't hear from them Monday I called. I was very distressed to find out they had done nothing with my vehicle and didn't know where my keys were. Come to find out, they were still in the unlocked drop box. Someone could have easily stolen my vehicle. The service was done and was fine. However, my check engine light is now on in my vehicle. My husband has also had his car serviced there over the years and has had negative experiences recently as well. We will likely be looking elsewhere for future service.....Read More

For ease, timing, and close location, I made an appointment on 8/17 at 12p for a battery light on the dash. When I arrived, I was told it'd be 2-3 hours before even getting my car into the bay, so I had to reschedule to the next morning. When I dropped the car off first thing on 8/18, I was told it would be one of the first jobs, but the car wasn't done until 4:30-5p. When I picked up the car, I was told 2 fuses were mixed up and that the battery light was not coming on anymore, and the alternator health was perfectly fine. The next morning, 8/19, not even 12 hours after release, the battery light came back on and the car broke down. After being towed to a trusted mechanic, they found the alternator and batter had died. I called the store and was refused a refund, being told I should have come back to their location, but there was no way I would ever trust this company ever again after being so terribly misdiagnosed.....Read More
