Tell me if this is how a normal conversation should go. Me: Hi, how much do you charge for a Maryland state inspection for an SUV? Mr. Tire: Well, we have to schedule an appointment to get you that information, is that ok? Me: I mean, I?d rather not schedule an appointment until I know how much it is going to be. Mr. Tire: I understand, but we need to ensure that there aren?t any other issues as well. Me: Well if I?m not scheduling an appointment, can?t you just tell me how much it would be for just the inspection? I?m sure you know the answer otherwise you would?ve told me you don?t know by now. Mr. Tire: Let me transfer you to my manager. Me: If they tell me the same thing you did I?m just going to hang up on them. Manager: Hello, how can I help you? Me: How much is a Maryland state inspection for an SUV? Manager: $114.95 I know it wasn?t the person who answered the phone?s fault, it?s the people who trained them to answer that kind of way. Stop wasting others time with these low brow tactics and just give us the answers to the questions we?re asking. A lot of people don?t the trust automotive industry as it is, so choosing to avoid telling people you can?t give them a price until they bring their vehicle in is not a good look in my opinion.....
