Disappointing Experience at Mr. Tire I recently had an issue at Mr. Tire when I went to replace all 4 tires. I was charged for TPS rebuild kits that were never replaced. Before the work was done, I questioned why the total was approaching $1000. The front desk employee rattled off several the charges and fees, including $10 each for the TPS rebuild kits. I agreed to leave it on the bill but warned her that I would check if the work was actually done. Later, I realized that the $10 per kit didn?t include labor, which added another $10 per kit, bringing the total to over $80. When I picked up my car, I inspected the valve stems and saw the old valve stem nuts were still there. I asked for a refund, but the employee refused, even though it was clear the work wasn?t done. I told her please at least take a picture so that your manager sees they were not replaced. She refused. I wanted to give the mechanic the benefit of the doubt, thinking it could have been an oversight. But I can't shake the feeling that these unnecessary charges are added to every bill. Later, the employee called me back, apologized for being in a tizzy and explained that she decided to refund me but made a mistake by refunding the entire amount. She asked if I could come back to pay the bill minus the $80. OIt was passed 7pm at this point and I couldn?t return, but out of pity for her, I gave my credit card information over the phone. Situations like these give shops a bad reputation. I?ll be sure to let my mechanic know not to send anyone to Mr. Tire in the future. What would you have done in this situation? I had an appointment for 1030. Checked in and was told it would take 30-60 minutes. An hour and 45 minutes latee and they still hadn't gotten to my car. I would've been OK if I was told up front that it was going to take longer than usual due to short staff. Then I would've rescheduled instead of wasting 2 hours of my time.
